About Us

We are Dr. Sophie Liu DVM and Brian Rodriguez, MPH. Sophie is a veterinarian specializing in behavior medicine, an avid sports dog trainer, and co-founder of the Doberman Diversity Project, a non-profit organization devoted completely to improving Doberman genetic health. Brian is a public health professional, devoted dog dad, and a tireless supporter of Dobermans.

We came to the Doberman breed when we fell deeply in love with our "heart dog", Ivy, a mostly-Doberman mix. Ivy created a vision for the ideal dog: bold, smart, resilient, incredible food drive, loyal, and, most importantly, healthy until the day she died at nearly 13 years old. Brian and Sophie began Vibranium with the purchase of Ipa, a Doberman of Czech and German working lines.

Vibranium Dobermans is devoted entirely to improving the breed. We deeply understand the situation of the modern Doberman, and we are committed to improving the health, longevity, and behavioral integrity of our beloved breed.
